Crumpton/Baxter/Bonham Memorial Scholarships
- Fall and Spring awards available.
- Must be a continuing or prospective graduate, doctoral or credential candidate.
- Must be enrolled in at least four units during semester of award.
The Cahill Scholarship
This is a tuition only scholarship. If your fees are being paid by an agency or by other form of financial aid, do not apply for this scholarship. Recipients will be notified of awards in December or June, prior to semester of award.
Fall and Spring awards available.
- Must be a student in the 4-year Integrative program; or a Child & Adolescent major; or a multiple subject credential candidate; or have either of above and have applied to the M.A. in Elementary Education.
- Preference will be given students from single parent families.
- Scholarship renewal applicants.
- If undergraduate, must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher; credential/graduate students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Students must enroll in at least 6 units each semester in order to receive this scholarship.
George J. Moscone Scholarship
- Fall and Spring awards available.
- Must be a classified credential or classified graduate student in Elementary Education or Secondary Education program.
- Must have teaching as a goal and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be enrolled full-time during semester of award.

- Fall and Spring awards available.
- Must be a classified graduate student in Adult Education.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 units during semester of award.
- Must be a continuing student in the program during the subsequent semester of the award.
Dorothy B. Lucas Special Education Scholarship
- Fall and Spring awards available, one award issued each semester.
- Applicants for program admission are also eligible to apply.
- Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 units during semester of award.
- Must hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher.Must be (a) a classified graduate pursuing an M.A. in Special Education, with an emphasis in Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Early Childhood Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Orientation & Mobility, Physical & Health Impairments, Visual Impairments, or Vocational Special Education; or must be (b) admitted and enrolled in an Education Specialist Credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Early Childhood Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Physical & Health Impairments, Visual Impairments, or Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential in Orientation & Mobility.
Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship
- Awards available spring semester only.
- Must be enrolled full-time.
- Must be a classified credential or graduate in Elementary Education or Secondary Education.
- Must plan to teach in California public schools and student teaching semester of award.
- One recipient for Elementary Education and one for Secondary Education.
Chris Larsen Scholarship
- Fall and Spring awards available.
- 5 awards for MA and 5 awards for Credential.
- Must be a continuing or prospective graduate, doctoral or credential candidate
- Must be enrolled at least half-time during semester of award.

- Award available Spring semester only.
- Must be a classified credential or master’s degree candidate.
- Must plan to teach in Creative Arts field (music, design, theater, and visual arts).
- Must be enrolled full-time during semester of award.
Eva Gildea Scholarship
- Awards available Spring semester only.
- Must be enrolled full-time during semester of award.
- Must be enrolled in the Multiple Subjects Credential (EED) program or a classified graduate student with the Department of Elementary Education.
Hilda Taba Scholarship
- Awards available spring semester only.
- Must be a continuing or prospective graduate, doctoral or credential candidate
- Must be enrolled full-time during semester of award.
- Preference to students with publications, creative works, research projects, or other evidence of outstanding academic record, including a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Back to the topDorothy Misbach Fund for Preparation of Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments
- Must be a California Resident.
- Must have 3.0 GPA or better for initial award.
- Must enroll for 6 units (half-time) or 12 units (full-time) during the semester of award.
- Continuing awards possible in consecutive semesters with letter of intent and 3.5 GPA.
- Must be in Education Specialist Credential for Visual Impairments program to apply.
Margaret Lynch Memorial Scholarship
- Must be a candidate in the Reading Specialist or Multiple Subject Credential Program.
- Must have 3.0 GPA or better.
- Must enroll for 6 units (half-time) during semester of award.
- Commitment to profession related to Reading.
Karl Richard Lane Fellowship
- Must be a continuing or prospective graduate, doctoral or credential candidate
- Must be enrolled at least half-time during semester of award.
- Must be a continuing or prospective student in Credential or MA program.
William L. Neer Scholarship
- FALL Only
- Must be a classified credential or Master’s degree candidate in either the Visual Impairment or Orientation and Mobility programs in Special Education
- Must be enrolled in at least 3 units

- Must be classified credential or Master’s degree candidate in either the Visual Impairment or Orientation and Mobility programs in Special Education
- Must be enrolled in at least 3 units
California Retired Teachers Association Scholarship, San Francisco Division
- Awards available Fall semester only.
- The applicant is not to be employed as a teacher while holding this scholarship.
- Must be enrolled in student teaching during the semester of award.
- To receive this award, the recipient must attend the CRTA Luncheon in October where the check will be presented.
- Past award recipients of this scholarship or the CRTA Laura Settle Scholarship are not eligible.
Leon and Miriam Bloomberg Scholarship
- FALL Only for the Academic Year (half awarded in Fall & half awarded in Spring).
- Must be a classified Master’s degree candidate in any Concentration within the Elementary Education Department (Early Childhood; Language and Literacy; Math Education or Elementary Education)
- Must be enrolled full-time
Susan J. Cady Scholarship
- Fall & Spring
- Must be a candidate in the Severely handicapped Credential program
- Must be enrolled at least half- time during semester of award.
- Must be enrolling in Student Teaching units semester of award.
Back to the topKen Pfeiffer Memorial Scholarship
- Fall only
- Must be a classified credential in a designated subjects credential and may also be an MA candidate in either Adult Education or Special Interest. The designated subjects credential is a must.
- Student must be enrolled at least half-time to receive an award.
Louise Mangini Scholarship
- Spring awards only
- Must be a candidate in Physical & Health Impairment Credential program
- Must have gpa of 3.0 or better
- Must be enrolled in at least 3 units
