Dear Friends:
Welcome to San Francisco State University's College of Education. The College of Education at San Francisco State University is comprised of a dynamic faculty dedicated to meeting the needs of the communities we serve through teaching and research. We are also fortunate to have a dedicated staff to serve our currently enrolled students and new students who wish to enroll in the variety of programs we offer in the College.
The College of Education is composed of five departments:

The College of Education is a professional college dedicated to the education of new and experienced teachers, administrators, and other education specialists. Our programs prepare students for basic teaching credentials in elementary education, middle level/secondary education, educational administration, and adult education. We offer a range of Master's Degree programs as well as a Joint Doctoral Program in Special Education (in collaboration with UC Berkeley.) In addition, we offer an Educational Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership.
A major goal of the College of Education is to improve access to all of our programs. This goal represents a part of our mission to prepare competent, capable, and motivated educators who provide effective services to individuals and their families, especially for those residing in ethnically and racially diverse communities.
