& Mobility), San Francisco State University
Ph.D., 1986, Education and Human Development, Vanderbilt University
Dr. Rosen is the coordinator
of the Program in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) and the
new SFSU Program in Guide Dog Mobility, both in the Department
of Special Education.
Research Interests
Her research interests and grant activities include
the development of distance education and computer-assisted
curricula in O&M for use in university teacher preparation
programs. She is also internationally known for her work on
the sensorimotor development of children who have visual impairments
and on independent travel for people with dual physical and
visual impairments. Dr. Roseon is currently the director of
a project to develop the first university-based O&M teacher
preparation program in Russia
