Background
Dr. Alise Paillard is Assistant
Professor of Early Childhood Special Education in the Department
of Special Education. She received her doctorate in Early Intervention
from the University of Oregon in 2003. Dr. Paillard has worked
on a number of federally and privately funded research grants
related to preventing and remediating the affects of disability
on children birth to five and their families. Prior to her current
position, Dr. Paillard was a Research Associate and Instructor
in the Early Intervention Program, Center on Human Development
at the University of Oregon. Her current research focuses on
service delivery systems development using family-centered,
community-based approaches to identify and refer young children
experiencing social and emotional disabilities. Dr. Paillard
is Principle Investigator and Coordinator of a two-year grant
from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education
Programs to develop a technology-based approach to tracking,
referring and reporting outcomes of screening efforts in early
intervention systems.
